Tesco have recently advised consumers that the “supply chain is too complicated” and that they are “working on it”. They admit that they have had had issues with “the ways we get meat to your dinner table” and seemingly are “making it simpler”.
Laudable in the extreme of course.
The cynical amongst us might suspect that the supermarket chain are using the ongoing horse food scandal as a subtle ploy to sell more kitchen knives and that home delivery vans will soon be delivering live chickens and cows to a house near you.
