The Don River is one of the major rivers of Russia. It rises in the town of Novomoskovsk, southeast of Moscow and flows for a distance of about 1,950 kilometres (1,220 miles) to the Sea of Azov.
This image is of is Scotland’s rival to the mighty Russian river. At 131 kilometres (82 miles) the River Don rises in the Grampian Mountains and flows past Inverurie to the City of Aberdeen where it enters the North Sea.
